Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

As the clock winds down, I leave you with with Neil Gaiman's New Year Wish from 2012. Yes, it's old, but I didn't see it until now and it really resonated with me. Because my goal for 2014 is to be brave. I missed a lot of opportunities and connections in 2013 because I was scared. Because I didn't trust my gut or get on that plane or make that phone call because I don't like jumping into an abyss without knowing what's on the bottom. I doubted myself when I should have held my head high. I stayed quiet when I should have screamed. And it's time to stop letting fear and anxiety control my life.
It's a New Year and with it comes a fresh opportunity to shape our world.

So this is my wish, a wish for me as much as it is a wish for you: in the world to come, let us be brave – let us walk into the dark without fear, and step into the unknown with smiles on our faces, even if we're faking them. And whatever happens to us, whatever we make, whatever we learn, let us take joy in it. We can find joy in the world if it's joy we're looking for, we can take joy in the act of creation.

So that is my wish for you, and for me. Bravery and joy. (1)
I wish you all love, good health, and peace in 2014. I wish you success and joy. I wish you new friends and stronger relationships with the old ones. I wish you giant doors to new opportunities and the quiet closing of the ones that held you back. I can't wait to see you there!
