September is here which means summer is (unofficially) over! It’s starting to cool down. Pumpkin spice everything is just round the corner. The leaves are going to start changing. And it’s (finally) time to chuck my sandals to the back of the closet in favor of cute riding boots. I can’t wait! But before we kick summer to the curb, here’s a round-up of some of my favorite, summer beauty discoveries.
My favorite part of my skincare routine are the triweekly, weekly and as needed treatments. These lotions, potions and masks helped make my skin what is it today – less prone to breakouts, more balanced, and have helped fade hyperpigmenation. Not only are the super effective, but most of them are quite fun to use!
Today’s post is focused on what I call my full nighttime skincare routine. This is the routine I
try to do every night. I’m giving you a warning, this is pretty long. It’s based on the multi-step routines you see coming out of Korea. It won’t get me in bed in 5 minutes, but it’s a nice way to unwind after a long day. And it’s done great things for my skin.
Did I forget to mention this doesn’t include treatments, masks or exfoliants? Yeah. Those don’t happen every day and aren’t included. Next time. Promise.
I’ve put off doing a skincare routine post/series for two reasons. Reason one: I haven’t found products I’m in love with. I’m still on the hunt for a good cleanser and eye cream. The second reason? I have multiple routines. Really! I have a routine for days I’m too tired to do much. I have a “full” routine that involves treatments and masks. I have routines for when it’s hot and humid. I have routines for when it’s cold and dry. I have routines when my skin is irritated. The list goes on and on.
But today? Today we’re taking about my current morning skincare routine. This routine is all about keeping my skin hydrated and protected from the sun. It’s also quick – five products only, some of which will go out of rotation when it gets warmer.
